In good intent may we serve.
In good character may we receive.
And in good choices may we prevail.

Good intent.
Good character.
And good choices.
How much these aspects of our lives must continually be present in our ongoing "art" of being a good dad (and grandfather I might add, lol!)
Surely these are a lifelong pursuit: but a good pursuit to be involved in.
Of course, these can be turned into a good set of questions for a journal as well:
- Were my intentions in order this week?
- And how would I rate myself in terms of my character? If I was giving myself a grade, what might I have given myself? (Do I need to record why?)
- Now about those choices? The good choices I have made: would it be good for me to write those down so that I can see them in print? (After all, we can find guilt in so many things: why not list a few "success actions" as well?)
- Could I have improved anywhere in my choices this week? If so, how?

Thank you for posting this. I believe that sometimes we are caught up in our lives and day to day issues that we sometimes forget about the basics of just being Dad. I have read so much on being a father and I believe that to be a father it does take education. Some of this is built into a man but why not learn more from others who are living it as well.
I have posted similar type of blogs on my website and believe that the more we share the more we improve our world and the world of our children

Thank you again
Yes, it helps to read more and get additional reinforcements so to speak with others as we continue working at being a good dad.
Thanks for sharing!
